Our Family is Currently Reading…

One of the things our family has recently instituted is ” Family Reading Time” but the switch is we spend time together listening and interacting in a book discussion and review time. On given nights one person reads some selected passages and stories out of the book they are currently reading. They tell us what they like or don’t like thus far, biblical support behind the teachings if it is non-fiction, valuable lessons and how God is speaking to them in the book. This is a great opportunity to bond together as a family as we giggle through a comedy, tear up over a moving story, or share our own experiences. I wish we would have done this years ago and I cherish this time when we simply are a family interested in what each other has to say. Below you will be able to click on each family members review page ( coming soon )

is currently reading:Divine Revelation of Hell by Mary K. Baxter All I can say is the jury is still out on this one for me. The book itself is very scary-and after reading just a few minutes worth;one thing you know for certain is Hell is real and you do not want to go there! I have lent this out twice before finishing it and just got it back again. There is some controversy about Mary K Baxter’s visions. I would like to hear your opinions on this..

Emily

Emily is currently reading: I Kissed Dating Goodbye by Joshua Harris Honestly Emily was not impressed by the book at first, she thought it might be dry and not appealing to a teen girl. Now she is reading to us stories that made her think and want to share with friends. This book is a MUST READ for your teens on why saving yourself and not succumbing to the crazy dating games of today are worth it. Read Emily’s thoughts here
